چکیده

Eucommia ulmoides ‘Hongye’ is a new ornamental variety of E. with excellent red or purple foliage. We found that exhibited gradual change from green to colour under light conditions. However, the colouring mechanism in leaves remains unclear. In this study, we compared pigment content and leaf index at five stages those ‘Xiaoye’, which was used as control variety. The transcriptome sequencing data first-period (H1, green) fifth-period (H5, red) were also analysed compared. corresponding gene regulation anthocyanin-related metabolic pathways then analysed. Physiological results indicated contents flavonoids anthocyanins (H5) significantly higher than (H1), whereas chlorophyll lower (H1). Moreover, carotenoid did not differ between two varieties. A analysis identified 4240 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), 20 these be involved flavonoid anthocyanin biosynthesis pathways. provide reference for further study colouration ulmoides.

Novel phytoandrogens and lipidic augmenters from Eucommia ulmoides

BACKGROUND Plants containing compounds such as the isoflavonoids, with female hormone-like effects that bind to human estrogen receptors, are known. But none has been previously shown to have corresponding male hormone-like effects that interact with the human androgen receptor. Here, we report that the tree bark (cortex) of the Gutta-Percha tree Eucommia ulmoides possesses bimodal phytoandroge...

Identification of the Sex-Biased Gene Expression and Putative Sex-Associated Genes in Eucommia ulmoides Oliver Using Comparative Transcriptome Analyses.

Eucommia ulmoides is a model representative of the dioecious plants with sex differentiation at initiation. Nevertheless, the genetic mechanisms of sexual dimorphism and sex determination in E. ulmoides remain poorly understood. In this study de novo transcriptome sequencing on Illumina platform generated >45 billion high-quality bases from fresh leaves of six male and female individuals of E. ...

Eucommia ulmoides Oliver Extract, Aucubin, and Geniposide Enhance Lysosomal Activity to Regulate ER Stress and Hepatic Lipid Accumulation

Eucommia ulmoides Oliver is a natural product widely used as a dietary supplement and medicinal plant. Here, we examined the potential regulatory effects of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver extracts (EUE) on hepatic dyslipidemia and its related mechanisms by in vitro and in vivo studies. EUE and its two active constituents, aucubin and geniposide, inhibited palmitate-induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) ...

Preparation of Eucommia ulmoides Leaves Antioxidant and Its Antioxidation Activity In Vitro and In Vivo

The adsorption and desorption efficiencies on flavonoids and polyphenols from Eucommia ulmoides leaves by different resins were investigated, and the most suitable resin for preparation of Eucommia ulmoides leaves antioxidant was chosen. Then the crude extract of Eucommia ulmoides leaves was adsorbed by resin, and the resin was eluted by 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% (in volume) ethanol elution solutio...
